This seminar explores what is meant by the word 'space' and investigates the consequences on built form of its varoius contemporary conceptualizations.  The seminar examines the multiple ways in which space is imagined, conceived and materialized in contemporary practice and i in work of the recent past.  It aims to foster a critical understanding of imaginative and ideological uses of space via a careful reading of texts and buildings and further aims to develop skills in articulating in various representational forms the issues discerned in the discourse and production of contemporary 'space.'
