Introduction
The MicroScribe is a type of 3D digitizer (scanner). An articulated arm is connected to a base. At the tip of the arm is a stylus which, once it’s calibrated, is always located at a known position in 3D space. By placing the stylus on various points on an object, a user can collect the coordinates of the points and create a 3D model.

The manual for the machine can be downloaded here.

The MicroSribe interfaces directly to Rhino for collecting and manipulating the 3D points. For more information type “MicroScribe” into the Rhino help index.
